Andy Speno, 73, of Manlius, went home to the Lord Saturday evening after a brief illness. Andrew Hughes Speno was born December 21, 1943 to Martin and Clarine (Hughes) Speno in Ithaca, NY. When Andy was an infant the family moved to the Berkeley Park area of Syracuse. Andy was a graduate of Nottingham High School (1962). He attended Broome Tech and held a degree in Accounting from S.U. Andy was a CPA for Hurdman, Cranston & Penny. He then went into the public accounting at Niagara Mohawk. Motivated by the events of September 11, Andy joined the US Dept. of Homeland Security where he worked in financial administration for TSA. He retired in 2014.

Andy's life centered on family and was supported by his faith. He loved golf and bowling in various leagues in the community. He enjoyed 'the breakfast club' with his Nottingham alums and poker games with buddies from NiMo. Andy delighted in the company of his best friend and grandson, Damien; their mutual dedication and pride was witnessed by all who cheered, coached or participated in Damien's youth and student athletics.
